Co-captain of the U.S. National Team, Megan Rapinoe, has
made headlines this week when a video was released of her saying “I’m not going
to the f**king White House.” Rapinoe has since apologized for using the vulgar language
but stands by her statement that she would not visit the White House because of
the current occupants.

Q: “Are you excited about going to the White House?”

Rapinoe has come under fire across the nation because of her
decision to support National Anthem protests. She is using her celebrity to
speak against the injustices in the United States and speak out against the views
of the current government. She is not afraid to speak against Mr. Donald Trump,
a president whom in the past she has called “sexist,” “misogynistic,”
“small-minded,” “racist” and “not a good person.” Trump has recently taken to
twitter in response to Rapinoe’s comments with a series of tweets with one
saying:
“Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!’’
Say what the haters want to say about Megan Rapinoe, it is
evident that she backs her words with action having 5 goals so far this
tournament vying for a chance to win the Golden Boot (awarded
to the top goalscorer of the FIFA World
Cup).
